SATS are standardised assessment tests administered by primary schools in England to children in Year 2 and Year 6 to check their educational progress before entering Key Stage 2 or secondary school, respectively.

Achieving ‘expected level’ or beyond, in these exams gives pupils and parents confidence that they are working at the required level for their age.

Year 6 SATs are also important as they play a large part in determining the sets your child is placed into as they transition from primary to secondary school at the start of Year 7. These exams also predict your child’s future grades as they begin the long road to their GCSE exams in Year 11.
